In this letter I want to share with you how we have grown into the guild that
we are today. This has been an extremely pleasurable experience for me as I
hope it has been for you. What I hope to do in this letter is share with you openly and honestly about how the officers and I are seeing the guild, and where we envision it to go.
Timeline
The Kinship was created on May 12, 2008.
The Kinship is created in Age of Conan on May 20, 2008
The Kinship reaches twenty four members and picks Poitian as village location
on May 24, 2008.
The Kinship reaches 200 in-game characters on June 12, 2008(alts and mains)
The Kinship leaves Age of Conan on August 1, 2008. Formally closing of the guild in the game Age of Conan began on August 11, 2008.
The Kinship's Goals
As being friendly, social, and loyal we wanted to achieve a member base that are willing to help others when in need, whether they are guild members or not.
We want to build friendships and strong bonds to guarantee that we will last
through the games life span. We wanted to be competitive in all aspects of the
game through fair and proper play. These were are goals that we have achieved in extreme success.
Goals for the Future
* Members as Assets. We want each member be a strong asset motivating
the entire guild to achieving the goals of the whole. We want to encourage our
members to actively look for what will benefit the guild's goals as well each
individual. We want our members to continue being selfless.
* Leave no Member Behind. Every member is important, we want to make sure that every member has the opportunity to find a group, get help on a mission, find help with a crafting project, and to have fun.
* We want The Kinship to have a 'visual' presence of success by our deeds. As always, we are seen in great numbers and together. This is very motivating to each other, and to those looking to us to lead. This is imperative to those who are interested in joining us.
* Maintain our Reputation. We have gained a strong reputation of being friendly, positive, and helpful. We want to maintain this because it will only attract future members of the same caliber.
Concerns for the Future
It is with out a doubt that this guild was created with the purpose to be competitive with the other guilds. The game design fosters this type of game play. Each and everyone one of us joined with the notion that this guild, The Kinship, would be the guild that could be one the most respected guilds on our home server.
The Balance. As we all know, we are a mix of casual and hard-core players
that are able to meet in the middle in a glorious mix of fun and friendship. We want to maintain that! As we grow we want to make sure that every member does not feel like they are falling behind or 'slow.' It is a concern of ours that we maintain the balance.

Seth: Peachy, Kate. The world's my oyster, except for the fact that I just rammed a wooden stake in my brother's heart because he turned into a vampire, even though I don't believe in vampires. Aside from that unfortunate business, everything's hunky-dory.
